Meine Arbeit ist gekennzeichnet durch die Verbindung von umfangreicher praktischer Tätigkeit als Schiedsrichter und juristischer Berater mit ausgedehnter Forschungs-, Publikations- und Lehrtätigkeit. Bisher habe ich als Schiedsrichter an mehr als 20 nationalen und internationalen Verfahren mitgewirkt, bin Autor/Co-Autor oder Mitherausgeber einiger international verbreiteter Monographien und einer Vielzahl von Beiträgen in Fachzeitschriften. Darüber hinaus halte ich regelmäßig Vorlesungen zu Themen des internationalen Wirtschaftsrechts an deutschen und ausländischen Universitäten und bin nationaler Berichterstatter für Deutschland zum Schiedsrecht und UN-Kaufrecht bei UNCITRAL. My work is characterised by the combination of considerable practical experience as an arbitrator and judicial consultant with comprehensive research, publication and lecture activities. To date, I have acted as arbitrator in over 20 national and international arbitral proceedings, I am the author/co-author or co-editor of several internationally, widely used monographs and multiple of articles in professional journals. Furthermore, I regularly give lectures on the subject of international commercial law at universities in Germany and abroad. I am one of Germany’s national correspondents at UNCITRAL for arbitration law and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
