National and international arbitral proceedings constitute the main focus of my work as a lawyer.
Primarily, I act as an arbitrator in both institutional arbitration proceedings (DIS, ICC, VIAC) and also in ad-hoc proceedings (UNCITRAL Rules, ZPO). Additionally, I serve as an expert or legal counsel in arbitral proceedings or arbitration-related court proceedings, and occasionally as Appointing Authority for Permanent Court of International Arbitration, The Hague.
In terms of content, the main points of focus of my work as an arbitrator and counsel lie in the fields of national and international contract law and distribution law, post-M&A disputes, Werkvertragsrecht (German labour and transportation contracts law) and the law of banking and capital markets
Within the scope of my work as an arbitrator and counsel, I strive to accommodate the interests of the parties and pursue a swift, cost-effective and amicable dispute resolution by means of an efficient conduct of proceedings. In doing so, I often revert to mediation tactics such as litigation risk assessment and decision trees.
In both national and international rankings (e.g. Juve, Who is Who), I am regularly referred to as one of the leading arbitration experts of the younger generation. Amongst others, according to a Global Arbitration Law Review survey, I am one of the 45 most well-known arbitration experts worldwide under 45.
